I was really “bad” yesterday…I had bread and butter for lunch. I know it isn’t cool. Carbs are SO out! But, I’m a baker. Let’s be honest, are carbs ever really out for me? (It was so good, by the way.)
Our homemade whole wheat bread had just come out of the oven. Our bread is baked fresh, but let’s face it, there is a very short window of opportunity that includes hot, fresh bread. 10 minutes, max.
Our wheat bread is made with stone ground whole wheat and plenty of molasses. It has a crispy crust and soft inside. It is sweet and grainy and perfect for a sandwich or toasted with butter and jelly. Or Nutella! But, everything is good with Nutella, right?
You should definitely put aside the carb aversions every once in a while and splurge on a specialty sandwich at The Olive Branch. Have a hot fudge brownie while you’re at it!
